The Covid-19 Pandemic in the Light of Populism

Abstract

Populism is a well-known phenomenon in the world of public space and media. The covid-19 pandemic that emerged in late 2019 in China is also associated with a number of claims, conspiracies and their presence in the media world. Some of the mentioned opinions also appeared in the political space. The paper seeks to show the extent of populist claims in this matter, as well as to show the content of this kind of populism. The paper also includes a philosophical analysis of the importance and danger of measures related to the pandemic.
